February Happenings

Here is the run down of what's been going on at the Christensen household lately...

Talmage LOVED Valentine's Day- it was kinda a weeklong event due to 3 V-day parties. He said "Happy Valentine's Day to us about 10 times a day for the whole week. He loved exchanging cards and eating all the treats that were attached

The Luke-ster. He just turned 4 months and is an absolute angel. Growing like a weed- in 9 month sleepers. He is such a happy little guy, always wakes up jabbering. He just started rolling over so as soon as he wakes up he rolls over and starts laughing- he seems to think it's funny for some reason. He loves laying on his play mat and grabbing at all the little animals. We sure adore him.

Ryan works out in our garage and Talmage has started going out there with him- he uses my 8 lb dumbbells and loves "lifting weights with daddy". After, Talmage likes to show us his muscle so after their workouts they come in and flex in the mirror

I get to do weekly activities with my friends from the MBA Program- we do lots of girls-nights-out, baby showers, indoor park days with the kiddos, sleepovers, etc. We are definitely having more fun than our husbands, sometimes I feel bad

Talmage is his usual funny and crazy active self. He loves going outside when the snow isn't falling and playing soccer with the neighbors. He is super attached to me right now though, everywhere I go he wants to come and whenever we do activities he asks if I'm going to be there. I'm thinking it may be his way of dealing with the new sibling? But he is still cute as can be and always makes me laugh

Brotherly Love

So whatever I'm doing with Luke, Talmage wants to be involved in, notice the "tummy time"...

Yes, Talmage has a screwdriver. He walks around the house with it all day longs and says, "I'm going to fix this real quick mom". And then proceeds to do stuff to the doorknobs, drawers, etc. He is quite the handyman apparently.

Our little Luke turned 3 months today! He was in the 80% at the last doctors visit. He has been an angel ever since I got him sleeping through the night and it has been wonderful! He is happy all the time. Whenever anyone talks he just starts smiling- even if you're not talking to him, he seems to think you are.

Christmas, New Years, and Everything In-between

We have had so much fun over Ryan's 3 week break from school (yea!) Ryan grew out a mustache so the guys could all have them for christmas- it was hideous but worked out well for our Ugly Sweater Party. We went to Vegas right before christmas, but came back just in time for my mom's Christmas Eve Waffle Bar (yum). Talmage loved his presents- favorites included a truck w/ tracks from Grandma Christensen and a drill set from Grandma Fisher. Luke liked the rattle I got him but mostly wanted milk. For New Year's we went to Jump on It with some friends and Talmage had a blast with his girlfriend Matea- they are 3 days apart and Luke slept. Talmage is a great big brother, loves to tickle Luke and say things like " he's so tiny, he's so cute" in a high pitched voice. I am excited for 2011, my biggest goal is to stop going to bed at 2am and start waking up before my kids. Yes, they don't wake up until 10. I'm pathetic, I know. Feel free to check up on me. Happy holidays everyone, the Christensen's love you! Here are some pics of the happenings...

Christmas Lights

We went with a bunch of family to see the pretty lights at temple square- Talmage ran the entire time (like usual), Jamie even brought hot chocolate and cookies for us, we had lots of fun!

Luke's Baby Blessing

Ry blessed Luke on Sunday and it was so great to have almost all of our families there for it. Luke is a happy little 7 week old. I have been sleep training him and it is going great; he went from 8pm-5 without eating last night so I am counting down until I can get a full night's rest! That is by far the hardest part for me with having kids- not getting my ten hours of sleep :) He is a big little boy, fills out the 3-6 month clothes now. He whizzed right through the newborn stuff! Talmage is still the sweetest big brother of all time, always very concerned with where Luke is and when he cries he tells me to "Go get him mom, hold him." So glad he stays on top of me. We are looking forward to Ry being done with this semester so we have dad around a bit more, and we all can't wait for Christmas!

6 Weeks!

Luke is our happy little baby. He is smiling tons and even has cute little laughs. He is wearing 3 month size and the size one diapers are getting snug so he seems to be keeping up nicely with his brother. We can't prop him up at all cause he scoots his little bum off. The other day he finagled his way off a pillow on the floor of Talmage's room and was face down with his head resting on a flashlight when we noticed. He didn't make a peap! I also caught him and Ry sleeping on the couch today:)
